Your payments are considered due by the first of the month and late if not received by the 5th. If your payment is late, an interest rate of 12% applies.
Especially in recent years as the United States Postal Service has become slower and less reliable, late fees being applied on the 6th doesn’t leave much room for error. However, this is a requirement of your community’s governing documents, and neither management nor the Board have any legal discretion on this. We must enforce the rule as written. If you are charged a late fee and we can see the postmark on your payment was before the first of the month, please notify us via a late fee dispute by clicking here. Once verified, we will remove the late fee. However, knowing that payments made via online banking platforms are sent via a mailed check and that the United States Postal Service isn’t fully reliable on delivery timeframes, please don’t rely on your bank’s estimated arrival date. To be as safe as possible in ensuring your payment will arrive on time, please be sure to send your payment before the first of the month. You can alternatively make true electronic payments, including automatic payments, via the Resident Center and take any risk of delay out of the matter. If you aren’t comfortable arranging payments online, you can also download, print, complete and mail an automatic payment set-up form by clicking here.
