What are the pool rules?

The complete rules are posted at the pool. The most important ones are:

  • No lifeguard is on duty; swim at your own risk.
  • No glass, no gum, and no diving; no running or rough play.
  • Cans and plastic cups are allowed, but not within 8 feet of the pool’s edge. Food and snacks must be eaten in the cabana area, away from the pool’s edge.
  • Proper swimming attire is required (no shorts or cutoffs); children who are not toilet trained must wear swim diapers.
  • Smoking is allowed only in designated areas outside the fenced pool area.
  • Any alcohol is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
  • Keep the area clean, lower umbrellas before leaving, and do not block mailboxes or driveways when parking in the pool lot.
  • Residents are responsible for the conduct of their children, tenants, and guests, and for any damage they cause.

Can I reserve the pool or hold a private party there?

No. Group gatherings and private parties at the pool are prohibited for legal and insurance reasons, and the pool cannot be reserved for private use. All residents in good standing share the pool during its normal open hours.

How many guests can I bring to the pool, and can my children use it?

The pool is limited to residents in good standing and their guests. A resident 18 years of age or older may bring up to two guests; more than two guests requires written Board approval. Guests must be accompanied by a Foster Springs resident at all times. Children under 18 must be accompanied and supervised in the pool area by a parent or legal guardian. Pool access codes or keys are to be kept confidential within your household, and the pool gate must be kept locked at all times.

When is the pool open?

The pool is open daily from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, Memorial Day through Labor Day. Opening and closing dates and hours may vary with the weather, and the schedule posted at the pool governs day to day. The pool may also be closed at times for maintenance, health, weather, or other reasons the Association deems necessary. There is no lifeguard on duty; you swim at your own risk.

Does the pool have lifeguards or attendants on duty?

No. There are never lifeguards or attendants on duty. You swim at your own risk at all times, and children age 17 and under are never permitted at the pool without an adult present.

Since my air conditioning condenser unit is on the outside, do I need to submit an architectural request to replace it?

You almost never need to submit an architectural request to replace the condenser unit for your air conditioning condenser unit. While the new unit may look different from the old one, this is not a matter of aesthetic concern. The only exception is if lines must be run to new locations, the outside breaker box must go in a new location, or the building must be altered in some other fashion. If you have a condenser on the ground and wish to mount it to the building off the ground, that would definitely require a request to be submitted. By in almost all cases, you do not need permission from the association to change your air conditioning condenser.
